Abi is a Chartered Physiotherapist and overall lover of everything health and wellbeing.
A trained Sports Therapist Abi graduated in 2012. Throughout this time, she spent her days working with elite track and field athletes leading up to the London 2012 Olympics as well as part-time with rugby, football (pitch side) and of course, Nordic Balance.
Abi went on to develop her knowledge and skills further and enrolled in a postgraduate MSc in Physiotherapy. Here, she gained lots of experience in Orthopaedics, Paediatrics, Neurology, Elderly care, and Musculoskeletal health. This allowed Abi to gain more of a medical grounding and it was then that she realised the importance of taking a holistic approach to health.
Since graduating in 2012, Abi has worked in the national health service, in private practice and with elite sportsmen and women.
Abi is also practising Pilates, Mindfulness and Yoga, providing her with the tools to deal with a variety of injuries and long-term conditions.
Abi’s is currently developing her interest and understanding of Lifestyle Medicine. Lifestyle Medicine focuses on therapeutic approaches to prevent and treat non-communicable diseases. This approach assesses the person as a whole and addresses different aspects of lifestyle such as sleep hygiene, nutrition, physical activity levels and mental wellness.
